THE TROUBLE WITH FOODIES....

We've been open for 3 months now and on the whole the reception to what we have been doing has been great. Reviews are uniformly positive and the feedback we have been getting has been thoughtfull and genuine.
As a whole people involved in similar specialist industries, Sommeliers, bartenders, bakers, chefs for instance, have been amongst the most ardent supporters of what we are trying to achieve. This does not surprise me as these are professionals who are keenly interested in flavour and so can easily grasp that there is more to coffee than "coffee flavour".
One group continues to confuse me, foodies. To be more specific, bloggers and critics. People whose very jobs should revolve around flavour and the spaces in which to experience it.
Put simply, when it comes to coffee, they just don't seem to be interested.
Speciality coffee is pretty new in Bristol, and I wonder if it will just take time for them to realise that there is something more , something better out there. We shall see.
